[Experience Course] Fukujuen Tea and the Happiness of Everyday Life
Tea creates a dialogue between people. When you want to have a conversation with someone, it is customary to ask them to go for tea, but tea encourages conversation between people and deepens bonds. We Japanese are aware of this.
Let us once again focus on tea and remember the richness of daily life based on dialogue, not conflict. In Japan, a room for gathering has long been called a "chanoma." People and families can converse in a space with tea, and we can remember the richness of the heart that comes from drinking tea and talking.
Through something as familiar as tea, we hope to provide an opportunity to think about the desire for peace within ourselves and about the nature of communication in modern times, where human relationships are becoming increasingly tenuous.
Fukujuen, a long-established tea shop in Kyoto that co-developed the well-known Suntory Iyemon, will explain the history and value of tea.Kyoto experienceUji teatea roomLINK KYOTOhistorytraditional cultureSDGs

"CO2Zero Travel®”This is a method to reduce CO2 emissions during travel using the J-Credit Scheme.2This is a plan to offset (carbon offset)
By purchasing the value of green electricity, you can reduce the CO2 emissions you make while traveling to virtually zero. CO2 emissions are now a major global issue, as can be seen from the efforts of the SDGs set by the United Nations. This program was born from the desire to "leave a beautiful Earth, even if only a little, for our future children." In order to concretely tackle climate change... As a first step, why not start taking concrete action against "climate change" while traveling?
"CO₂ Zero Travel®" is a registered trademark of JTB.
What is carbon offsetting?
CO emitted in daily life2This system offsets these losses by investing in greenhouse gas reduction and absorption projects through the purchase of carbon credits.
What is the J-Credit Scheme?
The J-Credit Scheme is a scheme to reduce CO emissions through proper forest management.2and CO2 emissions from the use of renewable energy.2This is a system in which the government certifies the amount of emission reductions and the introduction of energy-saving equipment as "credits." This system is operated by the government.

You can try making your own ``one-of-a-kind flower hairpin''!
Even small pieces of cloth that would otherwise be thrown away are cherished and used with care.
I want to spread the spirit of tsumamizaiku, so I don't just teach techniques, but I focus on the experience of ``finishing a piece of work''.
The thrill of seeing a small piece of cloth that would otherwise have been thrown away become a wonderful accessory, and the joy of playing with colors will soothe your mind and forget the time.
Please take a look at how much you can bring out the personality of the cloth that changes by pinching it, and how it transforms into a chance encounter and a single flower petal.*The experience is for 2 or more people.
*Please make a reservation in advance.LINK KYOTOsustainablehistoryexperienceKyotogenuinetraditional cultureSDGs

In March 2023, we will introduce the efforts of local companies as part of the "Project to promote visualization of efforts contributing to sustainable tourism"“Sustainable Tourism KYOTO”has been issued.
We who love this town and the tourists who love this town.
Even if we have the same thoughts,
There is an invisible wall between residents and tourists.I made that wall
It may be the way of "journey" that we have provided so far.In the eternal history of over 1000 years,
In this town, people's wisdom and creativity intersect, culture develops, and the city flourishes. And now, there are people who have started to create new value for tourism by reviewing the “travel” of the past.
I would like to ask people living in Kyoto, working people, and everyone involved in tourism.
What can we do now for Kyoto to continue to be Kyoto?▶️open pdf
