On December 2nd, the Sagano Trolley opens its doors to romance, only on winter nights. Departures are limited to two trains, at 18:26 and 19:10. The valley, where the autumn leaves are at their peak, is illuminated in a deep gradation of crimson and gold, and sparkling illuminations line the tracks. Stars so close you can almost reach them, and bands of light reflect off the river's surface. The view from the train window changes every moment, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. During the ride, special event sweets will be served to enhance the Christmas mood, along with high-quality drinks from Kameoka. The sweetness and aroma will help you forget the cold, creating a journey by train. A market will be held at Kameoka Trolley Station, where the train departs and arrives. -
Enjoy a leisurely ride along the cycle road that runs alongside the Kizu River, experiencing the history and scenery woven by the river. With a guide's explanation, you will experience the mechanism and significance of the lock that once supported shipping. Then, board a chartered 30-koku boat for a special experience of experiencing the Fushimi scenery and waterside culture seen from the river. Enjoy an autumn boat trip on the gently flowing Yodo River. Aboard the pleasure boat "Benten," a houseboat-style cruise ship, this special cruise travels between Fushimi and Kumiyama. On board, a guide will introduce you to the charms of the Yodo River in an entertaining way. We also have local sweets from Fushimi and Kumiyama available, so be sure to enjoy them on your trip. In addition, there will be land-based events being held at the boarding and disembarking points in Fushimi and Kumiyama!
