We will hear about the history of Kyoto and traditional crafts, as well as the current and future prospects. We hope that you will be able to use this information to think about your own future by learning about the connection between school studies and society. You will also learn about how crafts are a part of our daily lives.

School introduction, talk about Kyoto and crafts, observation of classes, Q&A session (approx. 110 minutes)
During the explanation, the participants will experience how traditional crafts are closely linked to Kyoto culture and have been passed down to the present day. The purpose is also to let them know that Kyoto College of Traditional Crafts is not only passing on traditional crafts, but also exploring new forms of crafts and providing education to develop them for the next generation.[Program schedule example]
