As the oldest public botanical garden in Japan, the Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2024 and will be open at night for a limited time, where visitors will be immersed in a mysterious otherworldly world of plants that are different from those seen during the day. Stepping into one of Japan's largest observation greenhouses, you will be greeted by a lush green space decorated with light, sound, set design and projections, and witness the brilliance of plants overflowing with vitality.
As you explore the four different zones, you can use all your senses to sense the breathing and whispering of the plants and the diverse expressions that emerge at night.
Come enjoy an immersive experience in a fantastical world of light and sound that will help you discover new fascination with plants and foster a connection with nature.

If you are coming by train or bus
To get to Kitayamamon Gate, take the Kyoto Municipal Subway "Kitayama Station" and exit at exit 3.
To get to the main gate, get off at Kitaoji Station, exit 3 and walk east for about 10 minutes.
From Keihan "Demachiyanagi Station"Take Kyoto City Bus "Line 1" or Kyoto Bus "Shizuhara" or "Ichihara" bound for "Shokubutsuen-mae" bus stop and walk for about 5 minutes.

- Reserving or purchasing tickets for profit and then reselling them is prohibited.
・You may have to wait to enter from the opening time indicated on your purchased ticket.
・If you arrive outside of opening hours, you may not be able to enter.
・Re-entry is not permitted after exiting the venue. Refunds will not be given after entry.
- ・Time required for the tour: Approximately 45 minutes (When it is crowded, you may have to wait to enter the greenhouse.)
- ・The event will be held rain or shine. The main venue, the greenhouse, is an indoor facility, so you can enjoy the event comfortably even on rainy or cold days.
