A tuna trip to deep Kyoto
Enjoy luxury on a sightseeing train that connects Seaside Kyoto.
In fact, Kyoto is one of the top two places in the Kinki region for small bluefin tuna catches! The moderate red meat is appealing.
This "just the right amount of luxurious tuna" has firm flesh that goes well with any dish!
You can eat, drink and enjoy this tuna on the Kyoto Electric Railway "Tango Akamatsu"
Features of this Plan
POINT 1: See, eat and enjoy wild bluefin tuna caught in Maizuru
Enjoy dishes that make use of the various parts of wild bluefin tuna caught in the fertile waters of Kyoto. Maizuru's popular seafood restaurant, Shinsendokoro Uosato, offers tuna dishes. There will also be a show where you can watch a local fishery company cutting up tuna up close. A blissful experience that will delight both your eyes and your palate. It is also used in Maizuru crab.
POINT② Enjoy the scenery while riding the Tango Akamatsu train
The Tango Akamatsu train runs between Nishi-Maizuru and Amanohashidate. Designed with a theme of white sand and green pine trees, the train has a warm wooden interior, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Yura River Bridge, a Japan Heritage Site, and Nagu Coast. The train stops and slows down at scenic spots, allowing you to relax and take photos.
POINT 3: Enjoy a little local sake and smile with everyone
We offer sake that pairs perfectly with tuna, including "Koda," made by Miyazu's Hakurei Sake Brewery using 100% Yamadanishiki rice from Tango. The subtle ginjo aroma, rice umami, and refreshing acidity combine pleasantly, making it a perfect match for tuna. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a moment of elegance as you chat with a sake cup in hand.
