Features of this plan

• What is the Kyoto B&S (Brother & Sister) Program?

  Students will be divided into groups of approximately 12-14 people and will tour tourist sites and university campuses in Kyoto, a city boasting a thousand years of history and culture, accompanied by two B&S staff members (university students).

• Set in Kyoto, a city boasting a thousand years of history and culture, the event will involve walking around the city and communicating with the unique B&S staff (university students) about their lives and experiences, with the aim of creating an opportunity for students to think about their own dreams by being exposed to a vision of the future that is close to them.
  In addition, by having each group experience a different course, we will lead to diverse and unique "learning and sharing of realizations" during follow-up learning and reflection time.

• What the Kyoto B&S Program Aims to Do

  In addition to learning about history and experiencing culture in Kyoto, we hope that students will have the opportunity to learn about and think about their own potential through interactions with university students who have a variety of learning experiences and aspirations.

  1. We are not just guides to Kyoto's historical sites and famous places.
  2. We are not an organization that participates in or arranges for "Open Campus" events.
  3. We are not just staff who guide people along set routes.

  Set in Kyoto, a city with a thousand years of history and culture, B&S staff communicate with students about the past, present, future, and aspirations, aiming to give them an "awareness for the future" and "create a school trip that will be etched in their hearts for a lifetime."

• Business partnership with NPO Glocal Human Resources Development Center

  The Glocal Center (abbreviation) is an NPO that serves as a platform for the "glocal human resources" development project, which is being carried out through cooperation between Kyoto's industry, academia, public sector and citizens.
  Glocal talent is defined as "talent that possesses both a public-mindedness that supports the local community and a calm business mind that can respond to the global economy." We are working in cooperation with Kyoto universities, the Kyoto Economic Association, Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto City, and the Organization for Regional Public Human Resources Development (a non-profit organization) to develop and operate the glocal talent professional qualification system "GPM (Glocal Project Manager)."

  The "B&S Student Division", consisting of B&S staff executives, will be the student extracurricular activity organization at the Glocal Center, and will provide education and operational support to ensure that it becomes an organization for students, by students, and for students to sustainably develop the B&S business. While receiving on-the-job training from JTB, the students will aim to meet the requests and solve problems of schools, pursue the satisfaction of students, and develop new programs and plan various projects.
