Meet & Greet, Maiko Show & Experience
This is a rare opportunity to be introduced to a real Kyoto maiko (or geisha), learn, enjoy the senses, and be enchanted as you watch the maiko perform traditional Kyoto dance, interact with her, ask questions, and take souvenir photos.

Inside the Kyoto Handicraft Center is the English picture book shop "SAIKA."
We opened this new facility in August 2020 with the hope that children will be able to stimulate their curiosity by interacting with English picture books, expand their imagination and creativity, and have a fun time learning English.
SAIKA also has an indoor play area (fees apply).
Please come and visit with your children.
