Kyoto Sightseeing Tour Special Project "Kyoto by the River" Guided Tour
The lingering echoes of the water city - Savor the flavors of Fushimi nurtured by the Yodo River on a private 30-koku boat
Visit the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum in Fushimi, a famous sake-producing area, and learn about the connection between the Yodo River and Fushimi, and the development of the town brought about by water transportation, in a seminar format. From the historic sake brewery district, your next stop is the Misu Lock Museum. With a guide's explanation, you will experience the mechanism and significance of the lock that once supported shipping. Then, board a chartered 30-koku boat for a special experience of experiencing the Fushimi scenery and waterside culture seen from the river. On board, you will enjoy a leisurely cruise along the waterway where people and goods once passed, while enjoying local Kyoto cuisine paired with sake. We will guide you on a journey that will engage all five senses.
