Revered among Japanese for its health benefits, the usage of ume (whether it’s food provisions for warriors, natural remedies, or luxury items) has been evolving with the passage of time. CHOYA UME STUDIO, a ume specialty shop where people can experience the ume culture of Japan in a modern style to engage "a culture that fosters connections with loved ones," we continue to develop it while preserving traditional culture. From the historic cities of Kyoto, it is shared with the world.

Attentive guidance by our bilingual Ume Concierge
An English-speaking Ume concierge will guide you through how to enjoy Ume(plums), and you can make your own Ume syrup or Umeshu with your favorite Ume, sugar, and alcohol in the store (Chinese menus and pamphlets are also available).
It's okay to start!
We will provide detailed instructions so that even first-time crafters can feel at ease.
We will also suggest ways to enjoy plums that will allow even those who have made them many times to make new discoveries every day.Ume tasting also available
You can also sample CHOYA Umeshu, the pride of the world's number one Umeshu manufacturing brand, as well as tasting 10 types of plum syrup.
Your very own plum drink is complete!
The Ume syrup can be enjoyed after one week, and the Umeshu after one month. Enjoy your time and savor the memories of your plum experience!
