Would you like to try the traditional dyeing technique, "Yuzen"?

Okayama Koge is a workshop that has preserved traditional dyeing techniques for many years.
Under the careful guidance of skilled artisans, you can experience authentic Yuzen dyeing.

There are many tourist attractions nearby, such as Fushimi Inari Shrine and the Fushimi sake breweries, so please stop by when you visit Kyoto.

    Yuzen Dyeing Experience Plan

    You can tour our workshop with a craftsman and experience hand-painted Yuzen dyeing.

    Please choose one of the three courses.

    For travel memories or special anniversaries.

  • Forehead staining

    Forehead staining

    I have a white fabric prepared with patterns drawn using paste-resist dyeing.
    After choosing your favorite design from about 10 patterns, you will color it using a brush.
    It's postcard size. Please take it home with the frame.

  • Handkerchief

    Handkerchief

    I have a handkerchief that has been dyed deep blue in advance.
    I have left the area to be colored (the flowers) blank, so please paint it with a brush.
    We will ship after post-processing. Please wait about one month.

  • Obiage (stole)

    Obiage (stole)

    The entire white fabric will be dyed using a large brush. You can choose from 3 to 5 colors.
    You can also add your favorite design yourself, so please complete a one-of-a-kind original item.
